Deborah Griffin is a well-known creative force in South Florida where she has been painting for thirty-one years. She earned a Fine Arts degree at the University of Florida, while working in the fashion industry. She has traveled and studied extensively throughout the United States and Europe.
Deborah’s need to create has been expressed in many forms. In addition to her oil paintings and mixed media art works, she has become internationally known to the interior design trade as the owner of Starshine Studio, where she and her talented staff produce custom, hand-painted fabrics and wallcoverings, do decorative painting techniques, and create commissioned artworks.
Among her clients are such famous and varied names as Bill Cosby, Andrew J. McKelvey, Kenny Rogers, retired N.Y. Senator Lloyd Newcombe, the late King Hussein and Queen Noor, Don Johnson, and Dionne Warwick.
She has designed fabrics, papers and wall techniques for fine homes, yachts, cruise lines, and airplanes for many prestigious design firms around the world. Closer to home Starshine Studio was commissioned to paint the entry mural in the much-acclaimed Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, Swig Martini Bar in Weston, Victoria’s Secret in BalHarbour, The Country Club at Heron Bay, and others too numerous to mention.
